Jenelyn’s Spunky New Uniform
Friday, August 31, 2007 Our helper Jenelyn has been pining for a new uniform ever since she started delivering our pastries and delivering my accessories to Greenbelt. Well I promised her a whole new one before I left for my beloved Singapura and lookie here—-a new checkered baby pink ensemble that she totally adores!
The "Pasteleria" emblem is still to be embroidered but she—we—love its simplicity just the same.
Setting the Carnivale Mood
Last week has been a somewhat busy and hectic week. Due to the storm and holiday vacations that everyone truly enjoyed, I was almost at wit's end trying to juggle orders and ship them on time—the storm was just plain annoying. Xend couldn't pick up my orders and shipping was delayed.
But in true entrepreneur form, I was thankful for the suspended classes and holiday vacations because a lot of people bought from my site and I had tons of parcels waiting to be picked up by Tuesday. Apparently people were stuck at home and the call of online shopping was too hard to resist.
Anyway, just when I was about to take a breather the other day, I checked my messages and Multiply and discovered that I had 3 cream puff orders and more coming in—it was amazing that I kept my patience and sanity while responding to orders via email, pm, ym and text. And I was so amazed at the pleasant me—normally I would be masungit but I guess I got up at the right side of the bed.
And my good attitude paid off! Today I had a buyer who bought Php 2000 worth of bangles!
Happy happy joy joy!
Plus, we were invited to be a food provider and a booth participant in the upcoming UP "Carnivale" event. I am sooo excited! This is going to be our first bazaar TOGETHER—my mom and I. I am totally excited about the whole "Carnivale" theme—zips, trapeze, all things bright and colorful!
Don't forget to wear your masks people!
Additionally, MAG:NET ABS-CBN will now be re-launching its new MAG:NET Cafe on Monday, September 1 so y'all better start the month right and go check out my new handpainted necklaces!

Feeling Melancholy.
Thursday, August 23, 2007U can never teach a guy to love the girl
The way she wants to be loved…
You have to wait for him to do it in his own way, in his own time…
That's the saddest part of being a girl.
But you can never teach a girl to love the guy back
The way she did before if she already grew tired
And fed up of understanding and waiting to be appreciated
And loved the way she deserves to be loved…
That's the saddest part of being an insensitive man.
I am tired of waiting…
Hide & Seek
Where are we? What the hell is going on?
The dust has only just begun to form,
Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling.
Spin me round again and rub my eyes.
This can't be happening.
When busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy.
Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines.
All those years they were here first.
Oily marks appear on walls
Where pleasure moments hung before.
The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this
still life.
Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won't catch me around here)
Blood and tears,
They were here first.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's all for the best? Ah of course it is.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's just what we need? And you decided this.
Mmm what you say?
What did she say?
Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I dont believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.
Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I don't believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.

Philip’s Birthday——with Ziggy in tow!
Thursday, August 16, 2007Twas Philip's 15th birthday and we all had dinner in Kowloon (my family luurvs eating out) with Tito Erick, Tita Ching, Tita Veron, Cherick, the yayas and the newest Tarranco member—Ziggy!
No digicam as usual, just my ol' trusty k800:
Look at the cam Zig!
Glasses.
Because I always spend at least 8 hours daily in fron of the computer (sometimes until 3AM), my parents decided to get me some eye protection in the form of UV transition lens.
Sometimes I wear them, sometimes I don't. But since I am terribly OC about my eyes, I make it a point to wear them as often as possible (not to mention the constant Visine espisodes), and sometimes I wear them when I shop by myself or do some stuff and I don't want people to bug me. (Believe me it works!)
Sooo…do I look better with or without glasses?
What do you think?
Errands and Fine Dining
August 12, 2007
Mark and I as usual did our errands for the day. Or to better describe it, he did his errands and I was just along for the ride. (I usually do my errands on weekdays). So this is how our usual Sunday ritual goes—he picks me up, we hear mass, he does his errands (buy stocks, do deliveries, etc.) and I just help with the packing. Sweet huh? I've gotten used to it, somehow dinner and a movie doesn't quite fit into our sked. But nevertheless, I am happy even if I know I deserve better. Mark makes up for it in other ways
Look at our mananahi's cat—may bell pa!

Yesterday, was uncle Boy's birthday and we has a surprise dinner courtesy of Unc Noel (the same Uncle with me in Singapore and KL) and we had a wonderful dinner in La Maison, Trinoma. I was never a big fan of seafood but after Manhattan Fish Market and La Maison's Seafood Bounty, I am now a certified seafood lover.
My Little Unassuming Wallet
Wednesday, August 15, 2007After searching for months for a suitable replacement for my old and "retired" Roxy wallet of 3 years (also scouring Singapore and KL for possible replacements), I finally decided to purchase one last Monday in Glorietta. Check out my new wallet:
– still my favorite basic white wallet, but I simply adore the pink interior! I've had Roxy wallets for almost 5 years already—I'ver had one with embroidered emblems & one with fruits aka "Fruit Salad" (hey I was INTO the fruit thing even before it became popular!) White wallets are the way to go—they pop!
And people always ask me why I like them so much. Well, I like that they're simple yet functional. And they don't scream "___________" (insert wallet brand name here) in big, bold letters.
It's simple yet chic. The faux (?) leather exterior repels most liquids and dirt, so it's a breeze to clean. Plus it's sleek enough to fit in my already crowded hobo bag.
– I love little pockets! Tee-hee! I wish it had more tho…
And notice the little "Roxy" detail in the button there? Now isn't that thoughtful…
LomoManila Crap Shoot Exhibit / Launch / Party
Sunday, August 12, 2007Marco and Jolo finally convinced me to go to the LomoManila event. I know I don't get to hang out with both of them as often as I would like, so I'm quite happy to be able to join them on Monday—that is if somebody would be kind enough to drive me home.
UPDATE: Some Lomo eye candy for non-attendees:
