Skint!
Sunday, August 5, 2007We had lunch at my Gramma's house today and it was expected that since the 4 of us travellers would be together (again!), we would all be talking about Malaysia and Singapore (again!) My sister was about fed up listening to our stories. But she'll be going to Bangkok next month anyway, so she'll have her turn at "boring" us with her exploits. Hehe.
After lunch, we were all still a bit "hyper" so we decided to drop by SM North since it was the nearest mall plus I needed to check out the 3-day sale.
BAD IDEA.
My sister and I almost spent Php 10k today. Naku lagot kay Daddy!
To my fellow junkies, some stuff to try (not necessary the stuff I bought today):

Kanebo Freshel White C Whitening Pressed Powder Foundation — feels like you have baby powder on your skin. Non-oily and no heavy/thick feeling even in our hot and humid weather.
the Kuala Lumpur experience
Friday, August 3, 2007Just when I was settling in, we had to get ready for our trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. We woke up really early and checked out of Ft. Canning (sniff) and hailed a cab. As we were driving towards the hotel, I felt so sad. It was like I had stayed in Singapore for a long time–I was beginning to miss it already!
The cab driver dropped us off at the terminal where another cab will take us to Immigration. When we got to the border, Immigration checked our passports and disembarkation cards. After everything was deemed "okay", the Officer stamped our passports confirming our exit from Singapore. I took a peek at my passport just to make sure.
I LOVE SINGAPORE!
My itinerary:
DAY 1
July 27 - Departure from Manila
Drove to Clark at 12nn to catch our 5:30 pm flight to Singapore. I didn't realize that Immigration was so strict, they even requested us to take off our shoes for a securtity check. Good this I was wearing my silver ballet flats (check out my previous blog), at least putting them on was a breeze. The funny thing is, by chance, Mama, my Tita and I were all wearing pink. Haha! Pink is the color of the day.
While waiting in the ratty airport, we spotted Bianca Gonzales and Patricia Evangelista also waiting for their flight to Malaysia. I just had to comment: Bianca is so morena. Ewww. But she does have pretty features, I'll give her that.
Elevator Love Letter
Thursday, July 26, 2007Love this song!!!

ELEVATOR LOVE LETTER by Stars
I'm so hard for a rich girl
My heels are high, my eyes cast low
And I don't know how to love
I get so tired after midday, lately
I take it out on my good friends
But the worst stays in, or where would I begin?
My office glows all night long
Its a nuclear show, and the stars are gone
Elevator, Elevator, take me home
I'm so hot for the rich girl
Her heels so high, and my hopes so low
'Cause I don't know how to love
I'll take her home after midnight
And if she likes, I'll tell her lies
How we'll be in love by the morning
I don't think she knows
That I'm saying good bye
My office glows all night long
Its a nuclear show, and the stars are gone
Elevator, Elevator, take me home
My office glows all night long
Its a nuclear show, and the stars are gone
Elevator, Elevator, take me home
Don't go, say you'll stay
Spend a lazy Sunday
In my arms, I won't take
Anything away
Don't go, say you'll stay
Spend a lazy Sunday
In my arms, don't take
Anything away
Off to Singapore…and some shoe finds!
Monday, July 23, 2007Yay!
Thanks to my rich uncle +wink+ I am jetsetting to Singapore and Malaysia (et al) on July 27. And I know that I promised myself that I won't spend money on items that I don't need since I will be cashing out 20 grand max for my trip. But I just couldn't help myself!
I went to Trinoma with my gramma and my other titas and titos last Saturday to mainly just look around and give my gramma a tour of the new mall. I then thought that since I was in a mall and I had my CC (with the blessings of my Dad of course), I could buy "my essentials". Riiight. Anyway, I stuck to the list and bought only Sunscreen (Armada Baby 60 Php 1400)—-but I snuck in a shirt or two…just because I wanted to wear something new and comfy as I walk around—and shop—in Sentosa and KL.
Fashion shows, anyone?
Sunday, July 22, 2007On another topic, I got invited to this Fashion Show on July 25th and they wanted to view my accessories and see if they can include a few in the said show. I was psyched! Unfortunately, my accessories didn't exactly "jive" with the theme and there really wasn't enough time to make 10 new ones. Plus the fact that I just delivered to MLNW and MAG:NET, there wasn't anything left to show! Bad timing talaga…
But keep the invites coming guys! I love fashion shows!
If you have a shop or boutique and you'd like to carry my accessories, let me knw . I'd love to hear from you, leave a comment here.
**currently listening to: Elevator Love Letter**
Fresh.
I've been dormant for a few months because I was so tamad to post my thoughts here, and I posted them in my other blog (which I shall not name, sorry Peter). Anyway, I've been addicted to downloading mp3's lately because of current surge in internet speed (read: thank you MyDestiny!). Anyway, Multiply sure is a haven for downloading Indie, R&B and Alternative Nuptial mixes. No I am not getting married soon, but I just like feel good alternative love songs (no mushy ones please). Of course, it didn't hurt to include Dreamsounds, which helps me relax and puts me to sleep all the time.
I also have some new designs that I hope you guys will find pretty. You can view them at the ff stores:
Make Love Not War 7496 Bagtikan Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City
MAG:NET 3F Greenbelt 3, Makati City (near Cinema area, under escalator)
It sure took a lot of work to make these, so I hope you guys buy some and wear them!
They are truly conversation starters!
300
Thursday, March 8, 2007
After so much hinting (and hype) on the 300 movie, Mark surprised me yesterday and picked me up from work and watched 300 at Glorietta. (I SO love Mark!) Although it seemed daunting at first because tickets were sold out and a lot of people were there, we were still able to get tickets! Yay!
The movie was spectacular! The graphics were simply to die for! It was an epic film that wasn't boring or lengthy (actually I wanted the movie to go on and on) and was able to discuss Leonidas' strategy to winning the battle.
A must-see for everyone who loved LOTR, Troy, and all those epic adventures.
When You Fall in Love…
Tuesday, March 6, 2007(Debunking the Myths That Are Driving You Crazy)
By: Bo Sanchez
This article isn’t for teenagers only.
Falling in love happens to the young and the not-so-young.
(Did you see 42-year-old Tom Cruise jump up and down Oprah’s couch because of Katie?)
It happens to everyone. Fat, thin, tall, short, intelligent, uneducated, holy, not so holy, dark, white, yellow, green… it doesn’t really matter.
All of us fall in love.
And we get stuck in myths that drive us absolutely crazy.
My goal is to debunk these myths and convince you not to believe in them.
Let’s begin………
(more…)
Falling Into Place
Tuesday, February 27, 2007
There is cause and effect. And when people are in pain, they will let anyone be doctor. But then again, no snowflake ever falls in the wrong place. Yet, you can’t reason someone out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into.
And so the obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer.
Because we didn’t believe that to believe we must begin with doubting,
We end up saying that we become responsible forever for those we’ve tamed.
Still, I am part of all that I have met.
But eggs cannot be unscrambled.
And yes, we used to think that if we knew one, we knew two, because one and one are two. But then we are finding that we must learn a great deal more about “and”.
Why thought provoking sayings?
Because I tell you everything that is really nothing, and nothing of what is everything. So do not be fooled by what I am saying. But listen carefully and try to hear what I am not saying.
Because almost every wise saying has an opposite one, no less wise, to balance it.
What now?
well…
Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
